KRISTINA + MAC’S PALMETTO LANDING WEDDING

There are so many beautiful places to hold a Charleston wedding, but we’re pretty partial to this gorgeous private home, turned wedding venue for 5 lucky brides a year! With it’s charming blue shutters, pristine grounds, Southern architecture, and incredible views of the Wando River from the backyard, it’s no surprise that Mac & Kristina chose Palmetto Landning as their wedding backdrop! I’d probably follow right in their footsteps if Aaron and I were planning a wedding (again) for saying our vows and partying with friends under the stars! It’s just that beautiful! We met Kristina and Mac early this year when they contacted us about shooting their wedding! We invited them over to our home, because after e-mailing about a central place to meet, we realized they live less than 1/2 mile from us downtown! Charleston really is SUCH a small world! We congregated around the island in our kitchen for hours, talking about life, the wedding, honeymooning, etc… and by the end, we were officially their wedding photographers! How fun is that?! Their wedding day was beautiful, from beginning to end! Even the forecast for rain stayed away, just in time for these two to say their vows in the open air, among 170 of their closest family and friends! …ahhh, our favorite! And the sunset… oh man, the sunset! It was, hands down, the MOST incredible sunset we’ve seen in Charleston, and along with it came a DOUBLE rainbow! It just doesn’t get any better than that… nd we all had a front row view of it from Palmetto Landing’s gorgeous dock! Literally, the entire group of wedding guests were piled on the dock (including the band), enjoying the show! The wedding was a blast and the dancing went into the night, Coast Crust’s gourmet pizza goodies were delicious beyond compare, the cafe lights strung around the backyard made for the absolute perfect evening under the stars, and Carolina and her team pulled everything together, seamlessly as always, for Kristina and Mac’s wedding!
